In brief

This website is a simple information page about the book. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device (no local storage) and uses no analytics or tracking tools in your browser – so no cookie banner or consent is needed. For simple visitor statistics we only evaluate our web server’s access logs in anonymised form. There is no contact form and no newsletter. It loads no fonts, scripts or other content from third parties – everything, including the fonts, comes from our own web server.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Euregio.Net AG.

When you visit the website, the web server automatically logs technical access data: your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and the browser used. We use this data to operate the website and keep it secure and – with the IP address shortened or anonymised – for aggregate visitor statistics without user profiles (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The raw access logs are deleted after 14 days [to be confirmed]; after that, only anonymised aggregate figures remain. Details: Cookies & statistics.

Links to Amazon

The buttons “Buy the book on Amazon” are ordinary links. No data is sent to Amazon before you click. After clicking, you are on Amazon’s website, where Amazon’s privacy policy applies.

Contact by email

If you write to us by email, we use your details only to answer your message (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless we are legally required to keep them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. To exercise these rights, simply write to info@euregio.net.

Right to lodge a complaint

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données / Datenschutzbehörde):
